Accreditation and Licensure
The clinic is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the American Association of Suicidology. Our programs and services are licensed or approved by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families, Department of Education, the Department of Public Health and Department of Insurance.
Funding Sources
Wheeler Clinic is a private not-for-profit community organization that is supported by individuals, corporations, foundations, and from third party payers, client fees and public funding sources. Public funders include the Connecticut Commission on National and Community Service, Department of Children and Families, Department of Education, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Department of Developmental Services, Department of Public Health, Department of Social Services, Judicial Branch and the U.S. Center for Substance Abuse Prevention.
